The Anantara experience was born in 2001 with our first luxury property in Thailand’s historic seaside retreat of Hua Hin. From that day forward, we expanded throughout the world to beaches and private islands, countryside retreats, desert sands, heritage wonders and cosmopolitan cities. Today’s portfolio spans Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

Our thoughtfully designed luxury hotels and resorts provide windows into the genuine modern character of each destination. I love the variety in the hotel. Every day is different, there are beautiful things happening every single day. Guests who are on holiday are here to enjoy their stay, my job is to create memorable moments for the rest of their lives.

Over the years, I’ve arranged more than 15 wedding proposals for our guests. Luckily, they all said yes! These are the moments that stay close to my heart. What I will never forget is that I was once contacted by a guest from the Middle East, who asked me to import a black Friesian horse because he had always dreamed of riding his own horse in Amsterdam. The more challenging the request of a guest is, the more I enjoy it!

Being a Member of Les Clefs D’Or International creates unlimited possibilities for our guests. It is because of this membership, that I am able to frequently arrange unique private dining locations for our guests, but also VIP tickets for sports events, decorated private boats with live bands and dinners in air balloons. Anything is possible to make sure that our guests leave with an amazing story.

My colleagues would describe me as a person who is passionate about his job, perhaps a bit too much sometimes, but also as someone who is always eager to create exceptional journeys for our guests. And on top of that, as someone who lives life to the fullest.
